My name is Nessie. I'm a 12 year old spayed female. I've been at Raystede since December and I'm desperate to find a new home as I'm getting very fed up. Although they look after me very well here, I'd like a home where I can come and go as I please. I like my independance but am also affectionate and friendly. I also like to play occasionally. You could be the perfect home for me. Please call and speak to one of the cattery staff.

Here are a few of our cats available, click on a photo for more information. If you would like to re-home one of our cats please read our re-homing policy and our procedure

Lizzie is a 3 year old spayed female. She is very friendly and loves cuddles and affection.

Baghera and Tigger, one male and one female, 6-9 months old. Nervous to start, but very friendly once they know you.

Starbug is a 2 year old neutered male. He is extremely friendly and affectionate.

Socks is a 3 year old neutered male. He is very sweet and friendly.

Marble is a 6 year old neutered male. He is very friendly and is currently being treated for an allergy and may need to be on tablets long term.

Dave is a 2 year old neutered long-haired male. He is very friendly and looking for a home with no other cats.

Ambrose & Boots are 4 year old brothers. Both are very friendly and need to be homed together.

Daisy & George are 2 beautiful grey & white cats. Approx 3 yrs old. Looking for a home together.

Harvey & Nics are two sisters. 4 - 5 yrs old. They are very friendly and must be homed together

Babe is a 4 yr old spayed female. She was brought in after an RTA and had to have a leg amputated. She is very friendly but can be a little nervous due to the trauma she has experienced. She would like a quiet loving home where she can regain her confidence.

Foxy is a 9 year old neutered male. He is very sweet and friendly.

Smudge is a 6 year old neutered male. He is timid to start, but friendly.

Jess & Jasper. Jasper – 3 year old neutered male and Jess is 5 years old and is Jaspers mum. Both very loving and must be homed together.

Casper is a 2 year old neutered male. He is Extremely affectionate & friendly.

Cattery re-homing policy

There are usually around 35 cats looking for a new home. If you would like to offer a new home to a Raystede cat, we ask the following:

You must NOT live on a busy main road
Generally speaking, any resident children must be over the age of 5 years although occasionally we have cats that may be suitable for homes with young children. Please ask cattery staff for more details
There is access to a safe outside area

If you are planning a holiday or are moving home in the next 3 months, please consider delaying your application until you are settled.

If you wish to re-home a kitten, we need to know that someone will be at home during the day to socialise and feed for the first few months.

Raystede Cats are all:

Health checked by a vet
Neutered
Vaccinated
Micro chipped
Treated against fleas and worms
Given 6 weeks free ‘Pet Plan’ insurance

TO COVER SOME OF THESE COSTS, WE ASK FOR A DONATION IN THE REGION OF £50 PER CAT/KITTEN

Taking on a rescue or homeless cat can be worthwhile and satisfying BUT it is not always easy. It will require patience, time and understanding

Cattery re-homing procedure

The Cattery team are available for re-homing 7 days a week between 11-12.30 and 1.30-3.30. No appointment is necessary.

Please complete an application form – available from reception
A member of the cattery team will then discuss your application with you and provide more information about the cats available to you
If you find a cat you may reserve it (for up to 14 days)
A home visitor will then get in contact with you and arrange a mutually convenient time to visit your home to check the suitability for the chosen cat
Once approved, the home visitor will issue you with a white approval card.
You then contact Raystede to arrange a convenient time to collect your cat

Our primary concern is for the cats in our care and their happy future
