There are currently two sheep living at Raystede. Laura and Cutlet can be seen enjoying themselves with the goats. Both love to be outside and enjoy the freedom of the fields, but also have their own shelters stables each if they want to go inside - they don’t like the rain!
Laura is a Rouge de L’Ouest sheep, which translates as “The Red of the West”.
Born in 2008, Laura came to Raystede after being hand-reared so she could live with other animals.
Cutlet has been at Raystede since 2005. He came to us as a lamb and try as we might, we could not find his owners. So we offered him a home here. He can often be seen wandering around with his best friend, DJ the goat.
