Most Successful Christmas Fair Yet For Raystede!
Wednesday 10 December
This year we held our Christmas celebrations over two days for the first time, due to popular demand. Last weekend over a thousand Raystede supporters came and enjoyed the festive fun and over £15,000 was raised!
Santa and his elves paid a visit to the delight of the younger visitors, music was provided by the LGB Brass Band, The Uckfield Theatre Guild, The Chamelionic Drummers, and The Uckfield Singers.
Visitors were able to enjoy making equine friendly Christmas puddings for the donkeys, horses and ponies, look for gifts in the barn, and enjoy some mulled wine with a mince pie.
For the children there was fun to be had in the Kids’ Zone and Star Trail and there were plenty of opportunities to meet the animals.
The Fair culminated at 3pm on the Sunday with carols and a short service led by Raystede trustee, The Rev. Marcus Brown.
Nigel Mason, Raystede’s Chief Executive said, ‘It was lovely to be able to welcome so many Raystede supporters to the centre to celebrate and enjoy this special time of year.'
