Raystede and Battersea working together for animals in need
Friday 26 August
Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare has today (Friday 26th August) welcomed a high powered contingent from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home in London.
The group, which included their Chief Executive, Chair or Trustees and Directors were given a personal tour by Raystede’s Chief Executive, Nigel Mason. The main focal point of the day was for the two charities to exchange ideas.
Mr Mason said, “We are delighted to welcome our friends from Battersea to Raystede. As animal charities, we share a common interest, so it is vital that we can work together to exchange views and ideas.”
Raystede, which is based in Ringmer, East Sussex, occasionally takes in dogs from Battersea, when they have run out of room or have dogs which are best suited to a more rural lifestyle than London can offer.
Nigel Mason said, “People may not know that we have a working relationship with Battersea. It is a valuable relationship that enables more dogs to find new and loving homes and it is one that both Raystede and Battersea hope will continue into the future.”
