Raystede’s Summer Festival is here!

Monday 18 June

Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare in Ringmer, East Sussex is looking forward to its biggest event of the year. Sunday 24th June will see the annual Summer Festival, 10am-5pm, which this year looks to be the biggest ever.

As well as lots of craft stalls, there will be a children’s fun fair, parade of Raystede’s horses, ponies and donkeys and Fun Dog Show with several classes, including one for ex-Raystede dogs. There will be food and refreshments including a beer tent run by Turners brewery.

Live music will be playing throughout the day from Stella Homewood, Rabbit Foot, White Clouds & Gunfire and Quiet Choir.

Chief Executive Nigel Mason said, “This year Raystede celebrates our 60th Anniversary and along with the Queen we will be marking our Diamond Jubilee. We always hold our Summer Festival on the last Sunday of June and this year we intend to make it bigger and better than ever before to celebrate our 60 years of caring for animals”.

He continued, “Everyone at Raystede really enjoys our Summer Festival and our supporters always look forward to the day too. This is a true family event with something for everyone, including children’s activities in our Yurt. All the bands that are playing on the day have kindly given their services free of charge and we are extremely grateful to them”

Entrance to the Summer Fair is £5 per car, which will include a goodie bag. Anyone wishing to take part in the Fun Dog Show can arrive from 9am to register, with classes costing £1 to enter.
