Stray for a Day 2015
Thursday 9 April
Please take part in STRAY FOR A DAY 2015
Have you ever thought what it would be like to be one of Britain’s stray dogs or cats? Sleeping rough, starving, afraid, injured or sick, running from humans and roads, lost and trying to find your way home and scared, very, very scared.
We are asking you to take part in ‘Stray for a Day’ and experience what it is like to be a stray. Visit www.raystede.org/stray to book.
You will join us here at Raystede on Friday 10th July for a night sleeping out under the stars whilst raising funds to help give a new life to more animals. Those joining us at Raystede must to be over 18.
Or if you prefer you can sleep out in your garden at home with your family and raise sponsorship that way. (All ages)
When you look into the eyes of a stray animal you can see there are untold stories that we will never know but what we do know is they need our help, our help to regain their faith in humans, to nurture them and make them well again physically and psychologically.
Here at Raystede 40% of dogs admitted to kennels are strays. Cattery it is 16% of all cats.
Currently in the UK there are estimated to be 2 million stray cats and between 2013 and 2014 over 110,000 thousand dogs were reported to local authorities nationally, this does not include those who escaped the statistics and never found their way into the arms of a loving place like Raystede!
It is just £5 to register and we are asking that each person taking part raises a minimum of £100 in sponsorship to help our animals. We'll help you do this by sending you a sponsorship pack with paper forms and instructions on how to set up an online sponsorship page at our partners, Everyday Hero.
