Sussex woman reunited with lost cat after 4 years!
Wednesday 12 November
It was Raystede to the rescue as a local Heathfield woman; Mrs Rawlins was reunited with her cat, Blue after 4 years apart.
Blue was brought into Raystede by a member of the public who had found him living as a stray in Easons Green, near Uckfield.
All animals that come to Raystede get an initial healthcheck where they are scanned for a microchip.
Mrs Rawlins said, ‘I always knew he was alive, even as the years went by and I always kept my details up-to-date with the microchip company just in case.’
She went on to say, ‘I was over the moon when I took the call and I was so happy that he recognised me when I went to collect him from Raystede.’
Nigel Mason, Raystede’s Chief Executive said, ‘We’re really happy to have played our part in reuniting Mrs Rawlins with her cat Blue. It really does highlight the importance, not just of having your pet’s microchipped, but making sure all your contact details remain current.’
