This is an exciting role as you will help our Funders to engage deeply with our work, and the lives of the animals in our care, as you present tailored cases for support and gratifying evaluations.
An excellent storyteller with a keen eye for detail, you will be able to interpret financial data and funding criteria, as well as strategically plan for existing and future funding needs. You may have experience of Trusts in another fundraising role, or perhaps you’re also an animal-loving fundraiser, or someone who researches, complies and writes reports professionally.
You will also be responsible for setting up a stewardship plan for Trust Supporters, building relationships over the phone, through written communications and on site or at events.

Animal Nursing Assistant
Contract: Zero Hours - working as required
Salary: £10.71 per hour

Raystede is looking for an Animal Nursing Assistant to work with us on a zero-hour basis. The successful applicant will assist with a variety of tasks in our Surgery as we provide veterinary care to the small animals in our care. Veterinary care including routine health checks, treatment, and operations is essential to finding our animals new homes as quickly as possible, or for some species enabling them to thrive whilst living with us in sanctuary. As this is a hands-on role with animals, some prior experience and knowledge of animal care is necessary however it is an ideal role for somebody looking to gain experience with a view to becoming a veterinary nurse in the future or pursuing other roles working with animals. As a zero hours position, it could be perfect for somebody with other commitments that mean they are unable to fulfil a permanent position.

Head Veterinary Surgeon
Part-time working 32 hours a week over 4 days (variation possible)
Salary £47,260 - £54,286 per annum (based on 40hrs a week) pro rata plus £1,500 CPD allowance
Raystede looks after over 400 animals every day with an on-site veterinary surgery that cares primarily for companion and small animal species. There is also occasional work with chelonia and exotic birds with specialist support available as required. A head veterinary surgeon is sought to support Raystede’s work for four days per week although a variation of these hours is possible.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with rescue animals, experience charity practice, and comes with a generous CPD allowance. The post-holder will report to Raystede’s Head of Animal Welfare but manage all aspects of Raystede’s veterinary work including the practice itself, as well as other veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses as required. The role will include conducting health checks to enable animals to be rehomed, treatment of cases using shelter medicine principles, performance of on-site laboratory work, and surgery as required to support finding Raystede’s animals new homes. This role offers the opportunity to work with a friendly team in a beautiful rural environment and regular working hours amongst other benefits.
