Schools At Raystede

Education at Raystede isn’t just about pet ownership – it’s about learning outside the classroom; utilising our work with animals to explore all areas of the curriculum. We can tailor make sessions to fit with your in-school learning and topic work. Each session enhances the curriculum and supports the Every Child Matters and SEAL framework.
Experienced Educational Staff can support schools in Sussex by;
• Providing an exciting learning experience with tailor made visits to suit in-school schemes of work – from citizenship and PHSE, to literacy, science and numeracy.
• Offering a stimulating outreach service to enhance topic work and prepare for class visit.
• Enabling young people to make links with local animal charities.
• Providing Inset and in-school animal welfare advice for teachers.

Design Your Visit

Primary Schools Programme
What Does It Cost?
We make no formal charge for our education programmes; as a charity we encourage donations towards
the animal care and education work that we do.
It costs Raystede over £4000 a day to feed the animals in our care, so perhaps your class could chose
Raystede as their designated charity and raise money through-out the school year.
