Fancy dress is optional, but there will be a prize for the best dressed person.

Raystede Stargazing Evening

Here at Raystede we will be holding a stargazing evening. If you would like to come, it will be £30.00 per person, which will include a BBQ dinner and a chance to gaze at the stars through different telescopes.

It's the 'Seven Sisters Astronomical Society' that will be running this event for us and you can read more about the 'SSAS' by visiting their website. Hopefully the clear skies will allow SSAS members to show you some of the many wonders that are in our beautiful earth. Wrap up nice and warm and feel free to bring along your scopes or binoculars, and enjoy a wonderful night with SSAS and Raystede!

Melanie Davies from Creative Space, will also be giving an interesting talk at this event!

Unleash Your Inner Animal Week- 1st November- 7th November

Ever wondered what your inner animal is?! Now's your chance to embrace it by dressing up as an animal during National Animal Rescue Appreciation Week, (1st November- 7th November 2016.)

You could organise a dress up day at school, in your work place, on a night out with friends, or just let your imagination run wild.

For every person that takes part, we're asking that you donate £2.00 to help the animals here in our care. You can donate £2.00 by following the link to our justgiving page.

We'd also love to see photos, so why not post them up on our Facebook site of you dressed as an animal, or you as an animal with your favourite pet!

Raystede costs £6,000 a day to run and we rely entirely on voluntary donations, so your £2 donation towards our work is greatly appreciated!

Please also share our page and help us gain support for National Animal Rescue Appreciation week!
