Thank you for your interest in adopting through Raystede.
Adopting through a rehoming centre can take a little extra time and patience, but the rewards are worth it.
Adopting an animal is a big decision. Before you apply, have you thought about what is involved? Take a look at our adoption & care guides using the link at the bottom of this page to learn how to look after your new pet and what to expect during your adoption journey.
If you wish, see the animals using the link at the bottom of this page. Then, complete an application form to tell us about your home, lifestyle, experience, and the type of pet you are hoping to share your life with.
We will consider your application and contact you if we need a few more details or to invite you to Raystede for a chat. If you do not hear from us, we have everything we need for now, thank you. Due to the high volume of enquiries we receive, we are not able to respond to every application but please be assured we have your details.
Once you have registered with us, please keep an eye on our website for new arrivals; https://www.raystede.org/adopt...
If you spot an animal you might be interested in, there is no need to submit another application. Please contact us directly to highlight your interest.
When animals arrive at Raystede, we get to know them through behaviour and medical assessments. Our expert animal care teams carefully use this information alongside your application to see if the match could be a success.
Finding the perfect pet can take time. Please be patient; they will be worth the wait.
You will be invited to Raystede to meet any animals who might suit your home. We will discuss the animals' background, health and behaviour. This sometimes requires a few visits.
Once you are ready to adopt your perfect partner, we will book an adoption appointment; our Rehoming Team will talk you through caring for your pet. Your adoption fee will help us continue our work to give animals a better life.
The real adventure begins when you take your new pet home! Our team are here to help if you need any extra support with your adopted companion.
