Parts of the sanctuary, lakes area and aviaries will be closed to the public until further notice
The Government introduced an Avian Influenza Prevention Zone (AIPZ) across the whole UK at 5pm on Wednesday 3 November. No Raystede birds are affected by this virus but we are required to put in place a range of measures to protect our birds. We are still open and welcome visitors to the rest of the site – please book your ticket. Our animal rehoming services remain unaffected and will continue as normal; our bird rehoming service will be limited

Adoption & care guides

To ensure you are applying for the perfect pet to fit your lifestyle and requirements we have some handy adoption and care guides available.

Please click on the relevant link and you will find some in depth information about the animal you are interested in, including what to expect during your adoption journey, animals’ housing requirements and adoption fees. Many of the animals we have available for adoption have long life spans and it is a big decision when welcoming any animal into your family. It is also important to consider the financial commitment an animal will require in the form of insurance, vaccinations, and ongoing health checks to keep them happy and healthy.

If you have any questions, they should be answered in the following adoption and care guides but if you need any further assistance please do contact us. We are here to help.

Your kind donation helps us to rescue and care for more animals in need.

We rely on your support to save animal's lives & do the work we do.
