It's nearly time for International Giving Tuesday 2017 and we've set a target to raise £1000.00.
The money raised will help us with projects such as our new cat enrichment room (a cat activity room to keep our felines stimulated while they wait for their new forever family), feeding our animals and of course the cost of rescuing more animals in need.
You can get involved by doing your own fundraising activity on behalf of Raystede.
Whether it's a sponsored walk with your pooch, growing a beard, dying your hair, selling cakes, holding an event or anything else you can think of!
Any amount raised will help and all the money you raise will go directly towards benefiting our animals.
Getting started is easy, simply set up your own page at Just Giving - https://www.justgiving.com/ - and select 'Raystede' as the charity you want to support.
You can add your own images and text about what you're doing and then simply share your page with your family and friends, via social media, email and in person.
If you prefer to run your fundraising activity offline, that's fine too. Just give us a call on 01825 840747 and we'll pop a fundraising pack in the post.
The aim of Giving Tuesday is to bring people together around the values of service and giving back, even reaching those who wouldn't normally give, so sharing through word of mouth and social media is key.
Remember to use the hashtags #givingtuesday and #raystede when you share your campaign.
On Tuesday 28th November, International Giving Tuesday, we'll be at the Brighton train station with some of our animals, doing a collection.
We invite you to pop in and get a photo taken with one of our trusty fundraising dogs.
If you can't make it on the day, you can take your own picture with your animals and email it to us at firstname.lastname@example.org, along with a donation, to be included in our special 'Giving Tuesday' album. You can make your donation here or using the 'donate' button on our Facebook page.
The album will be shared, along with the hashtag #givingtuesday, across our social media channels.
There will be a prize for the best picture!
