To all the wonderful people who've put together shoe-boxes for the animals at Raystede this Christmas, we can't thank you enough!
The shoe-box appeal, which is led by Justine Crookall has proven to be very successful.
Justine has encouraged as many people as possible to fill a box with treats and toys to give to the animals at our centre this Christmas. Due to everyone's hard work and generosity we've received a grand total of 110 boxes so far, and more are still coming in...
One lady called Natalie Taylor visited Raystede with her dog Rhiley at the weekend and brought in a staggering 30 shoe boxes, so that each of the dogs in our kennels will have one. She said, "Each dog has a box from us. I know this can't beat them having a home at Christmas, but i hope these help."
As we rely entirely on voluntary donations and our centre costs over £6,000 a day to run we really do appreciate the generosity of our supporters. Without your help we would not be able to carry on caring for the animals at our centre.
We're over-whelmed by the amount of shoe-boxes collected for us and it's lovely to know that the animals at Raystede will receive lots of lovely gifts and treats this Christmas!
