We'd like to thank everyone who has donated a teddy bear to us recently. We especially appreciate the time and effort that goes into knitting soft toys!
We are incredibly grateful for all the goods you donate to the Charity Shop, however please note that new legislation has recently been passed meaning we can no longer accept teddies or any toys without an official CE mark on them.
In fact we could be fined up to £5000 if we inadvertently sell a teddy or toy without a CE mark!
While we check all of our stock carefully, mistakes can happen, so please help us to avoid a fine by no longer donating toys which don't have a CE mark on them.
Many of our supporters hand make toys and teddies for us to sell. In the past this has been wonderful, but unfortunately we're no longer able to accept them.
It saddens us greatly to turn them away, and we simply cannot use them since the government has passed this new law.
Please continue to support us with toys and teddies that do have a CE mark.
It’s nearly time for the Raystede Christmas Fair again!
In just a few weeks we'll be welcoming in the festive season at Raystede and we need your help… We're short on teddies for the 'Teddy Tombola' as we can now only accept and sell them if they have their CE mark.
If you have any teddies in good condition, with their CE mark, we'd be really grateful if you donate them to us in the Shop. Just drop into the centre, any day of the week, between the hours of 10am and 4pm, or post them in.
We do hope you'll join us for the Christmas Fair too...
Thanks for your support and understanding, from all of us and Raystede, and our cuddly friends!
