This year we have charity places in the 2021 Brighton Marathon 10k. So if you don't fancy running the full marathon, why not join 'Team Raystede' and run for the animals in this challenge instead. Perhaps you have just started jogging in the recent lockdown. Why not make it count and set yourself a training goal by signing up to the 2021 BM 10K?

We're very excited that we are a local charity partner of the 2021 BM weekend and are looking to form our biggest team of runners yet. Due to the global pandemic Raystede has been closed to visitors and we have lost roughly £1,000 every single day we've been shut. We really do need your help more than ever to take on challenges for us and fundraise so that we can carry on our work to care for the animals.

Before the Brighton Marathon gets underway, the BM10k will start at 9.00 a.m. in Preston Park. As you make your way around the course you'll get to benefit from the incredible atmosphere of the Brighton Marathon weekend.

If you would like to join our team of runners you can register for a Raystede Brighton Marathon 10K charity place by clicking here. The registration fee is £5 and we ask that you raise £150 for us in sponsorship.

(*Your safety is our priority. If an event is cancelled due to the pandemic you will be given the option of taking on your challenge on an alternative date and if you have one of our charity places you can ask for a refund. (Check out our Covid Promise here.)

After signing up you will receive a welcome pack, a Raystede t-shirt, as well as the opportunity to visit the centre for a behind the scenes tour. You can also expect to receive the below from the organisers:

  • Chip timing
  • Inclusion on the mobile app
  • Technical t-shirt and medal
  • Goody bag
  • Individual runner number and race pack including kit bag
  • Baggage storage
  • Water stations
  • Cheer points, bands and music on course
  • Fuel at the finish
  • Access to the Beach Village with food, drink and entertainment

If you already have your Own Space in the Brighton Marathon 10K, you can still run for Raystede. There's no fundraising target and we appreciate anything you manage to raise for us. You will be sent a welcome pack, Raystede t-shirt and will also receive the offer of a behind the scenes tour so you can see the animals you're helping us care for.

Thank you for joining team Raystede and helping us to give animals a better life!
