Many animals that come to Raystede have experienced challenges in life and so in honour of World Animal Day, we are asking you to take part in a special challenge for Raystede: our charity abseil!
The abseil will take place on the 30th September and you will abseil down Peacehaven Cliffs, which are 115 feet high!
There will be 2 ropes going down at the same time, so why not sign up with a friend to take on this exhilarating challenge- you can race them to the bottom!
By signing up to the event you will receive a medal after completing the abseil and will also be entered into a draw to win a luxury night stay for 2 in the Atlanta Hotel in Eastbourne, as well as a professional photographer capturing you during your abseil.
The registration fee is £18 per person and the fundraising target is £100 per person. We will send you a welcome pack after signing up and will offer you support leading up to the event and will be there on the day itself to cheer you on!
You can call the fundraising team on 01825 840747 if you need any help booking onto the event.
Please only sign up though if you are aged over 10 and weigh under 15 stone. Please note that anyone under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. We will be asking everyone to complete a medical form and if there's any indicators on the form we will ask for a doctor’s letter from you to make sure you can go ahead with the abseil.
You'll get a magnificent view of the sea and the whole adventure will be led by professional abseil company Hatt Adventures.
