We are looking for our biggest team ever for the 2021 Brighton Marathon- will you join Team Raystede? Perhaps you have just started jogging in the recent lockdown. Why not make it count and set yourself a training goal by signing up to the 2021 Brighton Marathon?
We're so excited that Raystede has been chosen as one of the local charity partners for the 2021 Brighton Marathon weekend. It really couldn't have come at a better time. During the pandemic we had to close our doors to human visitors, and were losing £1,000 every single day the centre was shut. While we were closed to visitors we continued to look after all the animals that needed our care, but as we emerge from the crisis, we urgently need your help to begin Raystede’s recovery, and help us in raising vital sponsorship.
We know that these next two months will see a big surge in the number of animals who will come to us for help. As the furlough scheme ends and job losses increase, we know it’s often the animals who will suffer first.
We need you more than ever to run for the animals! You can click here to reserve one of our charity spaces.
Did you know that the Brighton Marathon is the second largest marathon in the UK. The route will take you along some of Brighton's most famous landmarks including the Brighton Pavilion. As you run along you can take in the sea air and coastal views. We will be there to cheer you on and as you make your way around the route you will encounter lots of support from a lively and energetic crowd!
So will you join the team and take on this challenge for the Raystede rescue animals? JUST CLICK HERE TO RESERVE A CHARITY SPACE. It's £30 to register and we're asking that you raise £375 for the animals at our centre. If you sign up to run for Raystede you will also be offered a special behind the scenes tour so you can see the animals you are helping by taking on this massive challenge for us.
We have limited charity spaces so to make sure you're part of Team Raystede CLICK HERE. After signing up we will send you a welcome pack and a Raystede t-shirt and will offer you support on the lead up to your challenge.
(*Your safety is our priority. If an event is cancelled due to the pandemic you will be given the option of taking on your challenge on an alternative date and if you have one of our charity places you can ask for a refund. Check out our Covid Promise here.)
If you have already secured a spot in the Brighton Marathon and have your OWN PLACE we would love for you to run for the animals at our centre still. As you have your own space there is no fundraising target and we just appreciate any money you manage to raise for us. After signing up we will send you a welcome pack and Raystede top, and will be there to cheer you on during the race. Join our team of runners by following this link.
We will also offer you a behind the scenes tour so that you can see the animals you're helping.
If 26 miles is too far for you, what about a 10k run instead? Read more about doing the BM 10k for us by following this link.
Or, if you don't fancy pounding the pavements, why not harness you pedal power and take part in the BM 50k bike ride for Raystede? Read more and sign up by clicking here.
If you're not a runner but would like to support Team Raystede, then why not join our cheer squad and help by volunteering on the day? Perhaps you have friends or family running in the race or would like to help motivate our runners who are raising vital funds for the animals.
Whatever your reason, let us know that you're up for joining the cheer squad by emailing email@example.com or by phoning us on 01825 840747. We will give you your very own Raystede T-shirt to wear and supply you with refreshments to keep you well fueled so you're able to make lots of noise for the runners.
If you have any questions about the 2021 Brighton Marathon, please don't hesitate to contact us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 01825 840747.
Many of the animals that come to Raystede are going through challenges in their lives, so by taking on this epic challenge you really are helping us to give animals a better life!
