Why we collect your data

To enable us to collect sponsorship money you have donated, to claim Gift Aid from HMRC on your donation.

What data do we collect and keep?

Your Gift Aid declaration. The value of your sponsorship. Your name, address, email address, telephone number, mobile number. Any correspondence.

How we use your data

To claim Gift Aid on your sponsorship. To correspond about the Gift Aid claim as necessary. We may contact you in the future to help us with surveys to improve our charity and service.

How long we keep your data for and the reasons for this

We will retain your details for seven years as there has been a financial transaction between us and we are bound to keep this information for
that time.

If you use other Raystede services in addition to sponsoring someone, for example adopting a pet or making a donation to the charity, we will retain the information on your record about sponsorship for the active life of your relationship with us so we can understand the various services that you have used.

Who will we share your data with?

HMRC. Your data will be provided to us via Just Giving.
