Ruby spent 827 days in our care. She is now living her best life.
Ruby spent nearly 2 years in Raystede’s Kennels before going to a foster home.
Ruby was one of our long-stay STAR (Special Training and Requirement) dogs, spending two years and three months in Raystede’s care as she was overlooked due to her breed.
In October 2023, she found a wonderful foster home and was completely overjoyed to have her very own comfy sofa. Whilst Ruby spent the next few months with her foster family, her frustration around other dogs hugely reduced. She adored plenty of snoozing spots and stretching her long legs for zoomies round the garden. She also began playing with some dogs out on walks.
Recently, Ruby had a few potential adopters meet her but sadly it didn’t work out. This led her fosterers to realise they couldn’t part with her so Ruby was officially adopted after 827 days in our care, and she’s already loving her new family life. Ruby has firmly landed on her paws and we are so pleased for her and her amazing new family.
Of course, the Rehoming team were sad to lose such wonderful foster carers but it’s definitely worth it for Ruby to have found her forever home!
Her foster carers have been brilliant with her, slowly introducing her to new experiences as well as giving her plenty of time to switch off and snooze. Ruby has firmly landed on her paws and is even enjoyed her first holiday to Cornwall!
