There are over 9 million dogs in the UK and the majority will require First Aid at least once in their life. Here at Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare we are pleased to be working with Kathy Hobson to offer this course in Dog First Aid.
Kathy has said; 'This course has been developed with vets and is ideal for anyone who owns or works with dogs. As owners and carers we never know when an accident may happen and they will need our help. Since 2013 we have trained thousands of owners to provide the emergency care their dogs need before getting to a vet. In many cases this has saved the dog's life.'
This course takes place on Saturday 29 January from 9.30am to 1.30pm. It will cost £55 and give you the confidence to be able to act appropriately in an emergency with life-saving skills. You will learn how to assess your dog's vital signs, give CPR and treat them for seizures, shock, injuries from dog fights, burns and scalds plus much more such as poisoning and road traffic collisions.
Whether you work with dogs or share your life with them, having the confidence to act in an emergency is so rewarding. Be there for your dog when they need you most.
