Young Buddy's journey to a new home.
Buddy, the 2-year-old miniature Shetland, came to Raystede when his previous owners struggled to cope with his challenging behaviour. He wasn’t living in the right environment and given minimal handling. As a result, his condition was poor and he was unsure on how to behave around humans.
After Buddy spent a few weeks settling in, our Equine Team worked hard to help Buddy understand that life wasn’t so scary. We were delighted when we received an application via our Loan to Rehome scheme. His now new family were the perfect match and after just over a year in our care, Buddy went home with them.
“Buddy is a cheeky little man who is loving life and wants to be busy all the time. He is enjoying having lots of chill time and play time too. He is continuing with his physiotherapy, has been for walks in the local forest and is gaining better fitness levels.”
