Coffee found her loving retirement with her new family!
Coffee is a sweet older lady who sadly found herself at Raystede due to the ill health of her owner. At the age of 15, she was looking for a quiet retirement home to spend her golden years.
Coffee arrived with a history of urinary tract infections which is worsened by stress, as well as periodontal disease and suspected arthritis. After being assessed by our vet, she had a dental operation to extract a bad tooth and was put on pain relief for her joints.
After spending a month in the Cattery with no interest from any potential adopters, one of the team took Coffee home to foster her and gave her some much-needed TLC. Coffee loved spending her days lounging on the sofa, being fussed and groomed.
Finally, after another month in foster care, Coffee’s wishes were answered. We processed the application form for a lovely couple who had a lot of experience with senior cats having just lost their 22-year-old Burmese. After meeting Coffee and immediately falling in love (the feeling was mutual!), Coffee was adopted and went off happily to her forever home.
