Megara has settled in well and is a much-loved member of her new family.
Megara came to Raystede after finding it difficult to cope with a new baby in the home. She was clearly a well-loved, friendly and sociable dog, and it didn't take long for her to find her perfect match. In fact, she spent just eight days in our care before setting off to begin the next exciting chapter of her life with her new family!
During her short stay with us, our team made sure Megara had everything she needed to feel comfortable and cared for. She just needed to lose a little weight, so we supported her with this while she enjoyed access to a paddling pool to help her stay cool in the summer weather - and plenty of cosy beds for well-earned naps between walks and playtime.
Now happily settled into her new home, Megara has been making the most of everything summer has to offer. After her walks, she still loves cooling off in her paddling pool before relaxing at home. She has also taken on the important role of testing the durability of her toys; with pull ropes being a particularly tough challenge whenever playtime begins.
Megara is also making friends with other dogs while out on her walks and is continuing to do well with her training, although ignoring cats remains very much a work in progress.
While sleeping is still high on her list of favourite activities, she also enjoys the occasional burst of zoomies, turning the house into her very own indoor parkour course and keeping her family thoroughly entertained.
We are all thrilled to hear how well Megara is settling into her new home and wish her and her family many happy years, wonderful adventures and treasured memories together.
